How to Do It Manually
Divide the file size (in bits) by the connection speed (in bits per second) to get download time in seconds.
Time (s) = File Size (bits) ÷ Speed (bps) [Convert MB to bits: × 8,000,000]
- Convert file size to bits (multiply MB by 8,000,000 or GB by 8,000,000,000).
- Convert speed to bits per second (Mbps × 1,000,000).
- Divide file size by speed to get seconds.
- Convert seconds to minutes/hours as needed.
