How to Do It Manually
College GPA is calculated the same as high school: convert grades to points, weight by credit hours, and divide by total credit hours. Transfer credits may be weighted differently.
College GPA = Σ(grade points × credit hours) ÷ Σ(credit hours)
- List all college courses with grades and credit hours.
- Convert grades to points (A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0, D=1.0, F=0).
- Multiply grade points by credit hours.
- Divide sum by total credit hours.
