Body Fat Calculator

Estimate body fat percentage from measurements.

How to Do It Manually

Body fat percentage is estimated using measurements of waist, hip, and neck circumference (or arm/thigh). These formulas provide estimates; DEXA or hydrostatic weighing are more accurate.

For men: Body Fat % = 86.010 × log10(abdomen − neck) − 70.041 × log10(height) + 36.76
  1. Measure waist circumference at the widest point.
  2. Measure neck circumference just below the larynx.
  3. For women, also measure hip circumference at the widest point.
  4. Apply the formula specific to your sex.
